Commercial Property Lawyer / Head of Team

Location: Merry Hill Office
Full Time | Office-Based

Waldrons Solicitors is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Commercial Property Lawyer to lead our busy and well-regarded Commercial Property Team, based full-time at our Merry Hill office.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior lawyer who is ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll manage your own caseload of high-quality commercial property work while providing leadership and strategic direction to the team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience across a broad range of commercial property matters, a strong client focus, and proven leadership capabilities.

Marketing & Business Development Executive

Location: Merry Hill / Hybrid

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Are you a confident marketing professional with a flair for digital campaigns, event delivery and business development support? We’re looking for a Marketing & BD Executive to join our growing team and help drive forward our ambitious marketing and business development plans.

Reporting to the Marketing & BD Manager, this is a hands-on role at the heart of our busy Marketing function. You’ll be delivering multi-channel campaigns, co-ordinating events from concept to follow-up and supporting our solicitors with business development initiatives across the firm.

This varied role is ideal for someone with solid experience in digital marketing, a sharp eye for detail and a proactive, can-do attitude. You’ll be confident using digital tools and platforms, liaising with suppliers and stakeholders and working across multiple priorities in a busy legal environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Creating and scheduling engaging content across web, email and social media
  • Supporting SEO, PPC and digital agency coordination
  • Planning and managing a wide range of events and seminars (both virtual and in-person)
  • Coordinating BD activities such as pitches, proposals, targeting and CRM updates
  • Helping introduce AI-driven tools to improve activity content, planning and measurement
  • Assisting with market research, reporting and legal directory submissions.

What we’re looking for:

  • Two to three years’ experience in a marketing role with a strong digital and event focus
  • Excellent organisational, communication and project management skills
  • A confident user of CMS platforms (WordPress), Google Analytics, email marketing tools, Canva/Adobe and social media
  • A good understanding of CRM systems and their role in business development
  • A team player who’s detail-oriented, commercially aware and full of initiative.

Employment Lawyer | Full-Time

Location: Merry Hill Office
Experience: Minimum 3 years PQE

Waldrons Solicitors is seeking a talented and dedicated Employment Lawyer to join our growing Business Services Team at our Merry Hill office. This is a full-time position, offering an exciting opportunity to work on a varied caseload of employment law matters.

About the Role

As an Employment Lawyer at Waldrons, you will:

  • Provide expert legal advice on a range of non- contentious employment law issues, including contracts, disciplinary matters, grievances, redundancy, TUPE, and tribunal claims.
  • Assist with contentious employment matter ranging from initial fixed fee appointments to representing clients in employment tribunal proceedings. You will need to have experience issuing employment tribunal claims and dealing with ACAS Early Conciliation.
  • Support both individuals and businesses (small and large) with practical, commercially focused employment law solutions.
  • Assist with settlement agreements and negotiation with the other side.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm to deliver excellent client service.

About You

We are looking for a confident and proactive solicitor with:

  • A minimum of 3 years PQE in employment law, where your main focus has been employment law during your qualification.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience handling contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
  • Excellent communication and client care skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills.

About the Role:

As a Legal Secretary, you will provide essential support to our conveyancing team, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting solicitors with residential conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion

Criminal Lawyer | Duty Solicitor

Hours: Full-time, including out-of-hours and weekend work for duty rota and police station representation

Waldrons Solicitors is seeking a skilled and dedicated Criminal Lawyer to join our Dudley Office. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor who can immediately join the Duty Solicitor Rota and is experienced in police station representation, court advocacy, and litigation.

The Role

As part of our Criminal Defence team, you will:

  • Handle a varied caseload of criminal defence matters
  • Represent clients at police stations and magistrates’ courts
  • Advocate in court cases, including bail applications, case management hearings, and trials
  • Participate in the Duty Solicitor Rota, including out-of-hours and weekend work
  • Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Be a qualified solicitor with Duty Solicitor accreditation
  • Have experience representing clients at police stations and in court
  • Be confident in advocacy and litigation
