Qualifications and Professional Development
Sapphire studied at Nottingham Law School where she achieved a First Class Honours in Law and Professional Practice. This four year course combined a Law Degree, the Legal Practice Course and a one year placement working as a paralegal. Sapphire received an award in November 2015 for being the top family law student on the family law elective of the Legal Practice Course.
Career Pathway
Sapphire started off her career as a family law paralegal at Bhatia Best Solicitors in Nottingham as part of her course at Nottingham Law School. She has always had an interest in childcare and family law and so Sapphire has been committed to these areas of law since the beginning of her career.
In September 2015 Sapphire joined Duncan Lewis Solicitors in Birmingham as a family law paralegal. After four months as a paralegal she commenced her two year training contract as a trainee solicitor. Sapphire’s training contract specialised in childcare law, family law and international family law. Sapphire qualified as a solicitor in January 2018 and remained at Duncan Lewis Solicitors for a further year before joining Waldrons Solicitors in January 2019.
Sapphire has over six years experience in childcare and family law and deals with a range of cases including complex care proceedings and private children law matters including applications for contact and residence and applications for emergency injunctions. Since qualifying Sapphire has gained extensive experience in care proceedings and private children law cases. Sapphire also undertakes her own advocacy, representing clients at the Family Court before District Judges, Circuit Judges and the Lay Magistrates.
