Work Experience

Sapphire started off her career as a family law paralegal at Bhatia Best Solicitors in Nottingham as part of her course at Nottingham Law School. She has always had an interest in childcare and family law and so Sapphire has been committed to these areas of law since the beginning of her career.

In September 2015 Sapphire joined Duncan Lewis Solicitors in Birmingham as a family law paralegal. After four months as a paralegal she commenced her two year training contract as a trainee solicitor. Sapphire’s training contract specialised in childcare law, family law and international family law. Sapphire qualified as a solicitor in January 2018 and remained at Duncan Lewis Solicitors for a further year before joining Waldrons Solicitors in January 2019.

Sapphire has over eight years’ experience in childcare and family law and deals with a range of cases including complex care proceedings and private children law matters including applications for contact and residence and applications for emergency injunctions. Since qualifying Sapphire has gained extensive experience in care proceedings and private children law cases. Sapphire also undertakes her own advocacy, representing clients at the Family Court before District Judges, Circuit Judges, High Court Judges and the Lay Magistrates.

In June 2022 Sapphire was successful in her application to the Law Society’s Children Law Accreditation Scheme. This is an accreditation confirming her experience and knowledge of children law and is recognition of her specialism in this area of law. She is also able to represent children via their children’s guardians at CAFCASS.

Sapphire became an Associate Solicitor at Waldrons Solicitors in November 2022.
