Six-figure investment & 25 jobs brought to Dudley by Waldrons Solicitors

Monday 15th July 2019

Waldrons Solicitors has recently completed on the purchase of additional premises at The Inhedge, Dudley and is now working on a complete refurbishment to provide office space for 25 permanent staff in order to press on with the Firm’s plans for growth in the town.

Architects Daniel Hurd Associates were appointed by Waldrons to combine three existing buildings at The Inhedge into one modern office space to enable Waldrons staff to work seamlessly across the enlarged premises. After putting out the project to tender, Lake Contracts were awarded the contract to complete the refurbishment works.

Work is well underway and staff should be moving into the refurbished space by the end of August. Waldrons plans to offer a full range of legal services by having key lawyers and support staff based permanently at The Inhedge – something not possible previously due to the limitations on office space. The expanded premises afford the Firm enough space to support future growth as well as  allowing for a hot-desking system for lawyers from any of the Firms other five offices across the Black Country and Worcestershire to work in Dudley.

Services on offer will include residential property conveyancing, divorce and family law, private client services including wills, powers of attorney and probate, child care, personal injury, medical negligence, criminal defence, motoring law, employment law and a full range of services for businesses.

The investment in Dudley comes at a time when the Firm has also expanded its specialist Medical Negligence team across all its offices. Details of that can be found here.

Commenting on the plans for Dudley, Waldrons Managing Director John Roberts said “We have maintained a presence in Dudley since the 1980’s, during which time we have seen a number of other Firms leave the town altogether. We have always had confidence in the Capital of the Black Country as a location to grow business and the opportunity to acquire the neighbouring premises gave us the ability to put our plans into action. Doubling our office space not only supports our immediate ambitions for Dudley but also gives us scope to expand in the future. This is an exciting time for Waldrons and we look forward to providing a wider range of legal services to residents and businesses across Dudley”
