After several weeks of preparation and hard work, Waldrons’ Junior Lawyers hosted their first ever networking event, the ‘Summer Sundowner’, on Thursday 9th August 2018. The event took place at The Brierley Hop House, which is located along The Waterfront near to our Merry Hill office.
The night was a great success! It was an opportunity for Waldrons and the newly formed Junior Lawyers group to introduce themselves to local businesses along The Waterfront.
As the name indicates the night was a relaxed evening with drinks, music, light refreshments and lively chatter all whilst getting to know other newly qualified professionals in the local businesses. The night allowed everyone to get to know each other and share stories and experiences that they have each had throughout their new and exciting careers, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Networking is an important skill for professionals to have. Therefore, this was an excellent opportunity for the Junior Lawyers to develop, allowing them to experience and attempt networking for the first time or to practice and build on the skills they already have.
The Junior Lawyers were pleased with their first networking event and they hope to host many more events like this in the near future.
