Third successful Waterfront Matters Event

Wednesday 27th March 2019

On Friday 22nd March 2019 Waldrons together with Intu Merry Hill held a third “Waterfront Matters” event at our Merry Hill office to bring together local businesses with the aim of discovering what business links there are along The Waterfront, Merry Hill.

Attendees included Prosperity Wealth, Amour Dance Studio, DWP Black Country District, HMPT Coaching Services and  Black Country Radio along with others.

These events provide a brilliant opportunity to introduce businesses working in close proximity to one another to build professional relationships and links. Together with Intu Merry Hill, we provide an informal opportunity to network and engage with other businesses, whilst enjoying a breakfast sandwich and refreshments.

There are also short talks provided by businesses to introduce their services. On Friday, Sarah Bradford, Associate Director and Head of the Commercial Property Team at Waldrons Waterfront Office introduced the event and welcomed Adrian Grainger from Griffiths & Pegg who gave a short talk about the work that they do for their clients. We heard from Juniper Training about the educational and training courses they provide to young people in our local community and Jim Cadman provided a brief introduction to the Duncan Edwards Tribute during our business card raffle prize draw in which one lucky attendee from Juniper Training won a luxury Easter egg donated by Intu Merry Hill!

We also heard from Sarah New, founder of Street Food Affair who will be bringing her street food festival to The Waterfront on 10 May 2019. This will be the first ever street food event to be held at The Waterfront. Sarah spoke about the range of food and drink that will be coming along with live music and entertainment and her aim to support and encourage local businesses and communities.

Waldrons and Intu Merry Hill are working to continue to build strong professional relationships within our local community; we are looking at holding a further “Waterfront Matters” event on 21st  June 2019. Please feel free to contact our business development team for more information and if you would like to give a short talk about your business we can arrange this with you.
