Waldrons and their clients – raising funds together for the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust
Over the years, there has been a steady increase in national charities being recognised with national Will campaigns lasting usually for a month at a time. As a result, often more local charities are being overlooked. At Waldrons, we decided that we would rather support a local charity that would benefit our Clients and what charity would be more deserving than our local hospital? As a result, last October saw our specialist Will writing team complete another Charity Will Fortnight in aid of The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust.
Nithee Kotecha, fundraising and community development lead with the Trust, said “Every year, Waldron’s show their support by hosting a Charity Will Fortnight in October. During these two weeks, Waldrons write Wills for their Clients free of charge who in turn, donate to the Dudley Group NHS Charity which supports The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust. Waldron’s have also supported several of our fundraising events such as the Neon Dash in 2018 and the Glitter Ball in 2021.”
The Trust chief executive Diane Wake added “Waldrons have been a phenomenal support over the years, raising just under £40,000, which is incredible. The money has been put to good use helping to improve the hospital environment for our patients, purchasing of specialist equipment for our patients in need of specialist care that NHS funds cannot provide and initiatives that improve our staff’s health and wellbeing. We are looking forward to building upon our successful partnership in 2022 and years to come.”
Dawn Cash, Associate Director with Waldrons replied “It is always fantastic to be able to give something back to our local hospital when they have had such a torrid few years with the pandemic and this year’s Charity Will campaign has been no different. People have been very generous in their donations and have raised £4,560.00 over the course of the fortnight! This is such an excellent result and Waldrons continue to be proud of their association with the Hospital and long may it continue. While the subject of preparing your Will may seem to be one that people do not want to consider, it is much better to be able to leave what you would like to the people you would like to leave it to rather than let the law decide.”
