Black Country Law Firms Merge

As of the 31st March 2022, the two long established legal practices in Kingswinford, Waldrons Solicitors and Blount Hemmings Solicitors, will be coming together as one. The Directors of Blount Hemmings, Julian Blount, Robin Hemmings and Jill Banks will join Waldrons and continue to provide legal advice to clients in their own specialist areas of Property, Commercial and Private Client Law.

The merged Firm will continue to be located at Waldrons’ present offices, 813 High Street, Kingswinford (next to Lloyds Bank) and will be known as Waldrons Solicitors Incorporating Blount Hemmings.

Managing Director John Roberts comments

“Over many years both Waldrons and Blount Hemmings have each provided professional tailored legal advice to their clients, and we are now able to do so together.

The merged firm will ensure that clients in Kingswinford village and its surrounding areas, as well as those living in the towns and villages along the A449 from Wolverhampton to Kidderminster, can access the legal advice they need from experienced knowledgeable and approachable lawyers.

Our merged Firm will have the particular ability to provide specialist cost effective advice on Private Client matters such as Wills, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate, Inheritance Tax and Estate Planning.

Also, as a member of the Equity Release Council, the merged Firm will be able to provide independently recognised legal advice in this area, which is becoming an ever increasingly popular way for those approaching or in retirement to free up cash from their homes, enabling them to do the things they want, using part of their hard earned wealth.”

Jill Banks, Director at Blount Hemmings adds

“The Directors of Blount Hemmings see the merger as a great opportunity which enables the combined Firm to establish itself as the pre-eminent go to legal advisors on Private Client matters, in the area, while at the same time offering Property and Commercial Law advice together with specialist legal services in areas such as Employment, Clinical Negligence, Personal Injury, Litigation and Divorce for which Waldrons already have in place established Expert teams of legal advisors”.

Dawn Cash, Director at Waldrons and Head of Private Client Team says

“Jill Banks and I have worked on matters on a number of occasions in the past and I have found that Jill is committed to providing her clients with accurate, effective and no-nonsense advice, which are the same values Waldrons Private Client Team aims to deliver for its clients.  I have every confidence that the merger of our two Firms will enable us to further extend and improve our services in this area”.
