About the Role
We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Legal Cashier to join our Accounts Team at Waldrons Solicitors.
Reporting to the Accounts Manager, you will be part of a supportive Accounts team responsible for the smooth running of the firm’s financial processes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing client and office receipts and payments (CHAPS, Faster Payments, BACS, cheques and card payments following SAR)
- Daily client-to-office and client-to-client transfers
- Conducting daily bank reconciliations
- Posting invoices to client ledgers
- Processing direct debits and standing orders
- Inputting and arranging payment of supplier invoices
- Liaising with external accountants as required
- Supporting the wider Accounts function
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working collaboratively within a supportive finance team.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Legal Cashier, who:
- `Has experience working within an accounts or finance environment
- Has experience in a legal environment (desirable but not essential)
- Has knowledge of the SRA Rules (desirable but not required)
- Is confident working with financial systems and accountancy software
- Is highly accurate with excellent attention to detail
- Can meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
- Has an analytical and enquiring approach
- Communicates clearly and professionally
- Is organised, computer literate and comfortable using Microsoft Office
- Is personable and enjoys working as part of a team
- Holds an AAT qualification
Full training on firm-specific systems and processes will be provided.
