About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join our Finance team based at Merry Hill. Working closely with the Accounts Manager, Directors and fee earners, you will manage client debt, support the day-to-day running of the Accounts Department and help ensure effective financial controls across the firm.
The role includes undertaking the firm’s credit control process, chasing outstanding invoices, processing payments, supporting billing and providing cover within the Accounts team when required. You will also support Business Services administration, including service charge payments, collating figures, invoicing and debt reporting.
This role is part-time for up to 29hours per week, hours to be agreed, and some hybrid working possible.
About You
- AAT Level 2 or above (desirable)
- At least 2 years’ experience in a credit control role and commercially aware
- Experience within a legal or professional services environment (desirable)
- Confident communicating with clients and internal stakeholders
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable using Excel and finance systems
- Professional, resilient, proactive and a strong team player
- Good understanding of confidentiality, AML and GDPR requirements
