We are delighted to celebrate an extraordinary milestone for one of our own. Mike Deeley, Solicitor in our Clinical Negligence team, marked his 50th anniversary as a practising solicitor, a remarkable achievement recognised by the Birmingham Law Society at its recent Annual General Meeting.
At the AGM, Mike was joined by his twin brother, John, who also reached the same professional milestone. Both were honoured in front of peers and colleagues across the region, with Mike accepting an award from the outgoing President, Richard Port MBE, in recognition of five decades of dedicated service to the legal profession.
Mike began as a solicitor in 1974 after completing his studies with a law degree from Cardiff University and then Birmingham Law School. Over the following decades, he established a respected reputation within the field of clinical and medical negligence, representing clients with care, diligence and empathy through some of the most complex and sensitive cases.
Having worked with several well-known Midlands firms during his long career, Mike joined Waldrons Solicitors in 2024, bringing with him a wealth of experience, a passion for helping others and an enduring belief in the power of the law to make a difference.
Outside of work, Mike’s interests are as energetic as his career. A keen runner and guitarist, qualities that have no doubt helped sustain his remarkable career.
