Katie achieved A level law, alongside English and Communication Studies studying at Rowley Regis College. Katie has also achieved CILEX (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives) Level 3 Professional Diploma in Law & Practice.
Katie has 20 years of experience of working in the insurance industry and dealing with Personal Injury claims.
Katie began working as a receptionist for a local firm of Solicitors in the Black Country in 2001 and was quickly promoted to legal secretary and began studying towards her CILEX qualification whilst gaining hands on experience.
Upon qualification Katie moved to Irwin Mitchell Solicitors in Birmingham where she was a Senior Claims Manager for almost 16 years. During this time Katie represented thousands of Claimants who suffered Personal Injury arising out of road traffic accidents. Starting out in the recoveries department acting for Claimants and large insurance companies in relation to Small and Fast Track personal injury claims and recovery of property damage, Katie was promoted further into the Personal Injury team where she handled a variety of cases and gained valuable litigation experience.
Katie went on to expand her area of knowledge to include workplace accidents and public/ occupiers liability claims and currently handles a variety of claims of this nature. Katie has experience acting for members of The Police Federation, Community Union, and also accepts private instructions.
Katie is a busy mom of three young children and therefore can usually be found at the weekend at the local park, enjoying a family swim, or baking.
