Elaine Williams is Head of the Private Client Department for the Merry Hill and Walsall Office. Elaine qualified as a solicitor in February 2001 having undertaken her degree and Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School, Nottingham Trent University. Elaine worked in private practice until May 2006 advising clients on a wide variety of private client matters including administration of estates, trusts, wills, inheritance tax planning, powers of attorney and Court of Protection work. In 2006 Elaine became an Estates Manager at Lloyds Bank Private Banking managing a team dealing with administration of estates in which she specialised in cases that were high net worth and had complex inheritance tax issues. Elaine joined this firm in 2017 and her main focus is to advise clients on straightforward and complex wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, creation and management of trusts including personal injury trusts and estate administration. Elaine is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners having undergone further training and exams to qualify for membership which she passed in 2008 with a distinction. Elaine is happy to see clients in the workplace at either the Merry Hill or Walsall offices or at their home. Outside the office, Elaine belongs to an amateur dramatics society and performs in the society’s annual pantomime.
