This includes half an hour telephone or internet advice from a qualified lawyer who will contact you to discuss your draft Health and Welfare Lasting Power of Attorney Will to ensure it is appropriate for your needs and to deal with any questions you may have.
The Health and Welfare Lasting Power of Attorney is prepared after you have answered a number of questions. When answering the questions please consider the information in the guidance note.

This document allows you to appoint someone to make welfare decisions for you if you are mentally incapable of doing so yourself.
This can include: Life sustaining treatment, questions as to where you live and who you live with.
An Ordinary Power of Attorney or an Enduring Power of Attorney does not allow your Attorney to make decisions about your welfare.
It is possible for Waldrons to act as your Attorney if you do not have anyone you wish to act for you.
A Lasting Power of Attorney can be used once it is registered with the Office of the Public Guardian. You can prepare the Lasting Power of Attorney and register at a later date, but this means that your Attorneys cannot use the Lasting Power of Attorney until that time.
