General Power of Attorney
Our on-line service cost is £158.40 inclusive of VAT. This includes half an hour telephone or internet advice from a qualified lawyer who will contact you to discuss your draft General Power of Attorney to ensure it is appropriate for your needs and to deal with any questions you may have.

An Ordinary Power of Attorney is effective once you and the Attorney have signed. It lasts for 12 months from the date it is signed and becomes void if you become mentally incapable.
Due to the nature of the document it is only recommended if you want to give temporary power to someone, such as if you are to spend time abroad.
If you wish to appoint someone to look after your affairs for more than 12 months, or if you become mentally incapable, consider a Property and Affairs Lasting Power of Attorney.
If you wish to appoint someone to make decisions about your welfare if you become mentally incapable, you should consider a Health and Welfare Lasting Power of Attorney.
It is possible for Waldrons to act as your Attorney if you do not have anyone you wish to act for you.
