Home Information Pack

If you’re planning to put your home on the market, no matter what size it is, you will need to provide a Home Information Pack or HIP.

A HIP must contain the following:

  • index of pack contents
  • Energy Performance Certificate
  • sale statement
  • evidence of title
  • local searches including drainage search
  • leasehold/commonhold documentation where appropriate.

Waldrons has a dedicated department which specialises in preparing HIPs and property sales.

Once our energy assessor has provided a report for your Energy Performance Certificate and we’ve carried out local searches, we aim to complete your HIP within two weeks of receiving instructions.

A HIP lasts for as long as your property is on the market, though searches are only valid for 6 months.  If the sale of your property stops then starts again, you will need to renew the HIP.

Our experts make the process as quick and smooth as possible, saving you time and stress.
